Cub Gets Baptized!

 

On April 16, 2006, Easter Sunday, Cub was baptized into the Catholic church.

 

His grandfather, Cheng Yu-Nien, and grandmother, Juliana Cheng, beam with joy.

 

The Chengs sit, waiting for the beginning of Mass...

 

Along with the Mizuhara family and Sifu Nino Pilla...

 

During the course of the baptismal ceremony, the Chengs and Sifu Pilla stand and listen to the prayers and commentary.

 

Sifu Cheng with Cub, Sifu Pilla (godfather), Simu Cheng, & Godfather Byung Kim smile as they hear Fr. Brad cracking a joke.

 

Father Brad Schoeberle, CSP, performs the actual baptism, swinging Cub through the waters of the Baptismal Font three times - in the Name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit while his parents and godfathers look on...

 

And Godfather Byung Kim assists Fr. Brad with lighting the baptismal candles.

 

Following the baptism, Cub works his usual charm as Father Brad & Nai-Nai look on...

 

As Uncle Fong Sam, Ye-Ye, and Uncle Dean Quan congratulate Sifu Cheng...

 

Cub gives a kiss to his Gan-ma, Kelly Lin...

 

And then heads home.
